Joe Racicot was named president of Montana Rail Link on December 16, 2022. In 2015, Joe was appointed General Counsel at MRL and was ultimately promoted to Vice President of Administration and General Counsel in 2019.

Prior to joining Montana Rail Link, Joe was Associate Counsel for Washington Corporations for seven years. Joe served as the Confidential Assistant to both the Deputy Administrator for Nuclear Nonproliferation and Deputy Under Secretary for Counterterrorism, for the National Nuclear Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Energy. Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Carroll College, along with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Joe is a member of the State Bar of Montana.
