Jeff Adams began his railroad career in 1993 as a Switchman for Montana Rail Link and has worked throughout the entire MRL system. In 1996 Jeff was promoted to Yardmaster in Missoula, a position he held for eight years. Jeff was then promoted to Trainmaster serving in both Missoula and Helena and in 2013, Jeff accepted the position of Terminal Superintendent in Laurel. While in Laurel, Jeff became intimately familiar with the east end of the MRL system which contains one of the largest flat switching yards in North America. In 2015, he was promoted to Director of Operations West, a position he held for four years prior to assuming his current role of Chief Transportation Officer. Jeff has a thorough understanding of railroad operations and leads a team of dedicated railroaders whose mission is to deliver for MRL’s partners and customers.
